The Oral GLP-1 Landscape Changed Fast

You take it once daily, whenever you want, with or without meals. For patients who tried oral semaglutide and found the fasting requirement impractical, orforglipron removes that barrier entirely.

The weight loss is more modest: the ATTAIN-1 trial showed dose-dependent losses of 7.5% to 11.2% at 72 weeks, compared to 2.1% with placebo. Lower than semaglutide's numbers, but still clinically meaningful — and the convenience factor may improve real-world adherence enough to close that gap.
